Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have been to my PCM and she took an x-ray of my right leg and hip area. I have had pain in the hip, thigh and down my leg for weeks now (also occurred over the course of months). She says it s probably sciatica. I am a bit concerned, though, as my leg gives out when I walk (did it 6-7 times today) when my daughter and I took a walk at the park. It sends a jolt of pain when that happens. I also have plantar fasciitis in both feet with bone spurs and my feet get red, itchy, puffy and hurt, have burning feeling. Just tired of hurting and having to take pain meds.

How Can severe Hip Pain Be Treated?
Hello, As a first line management, you can take analgesics like Paracetamol or Aceclofenac for pain relief. If symptoms persist better to consult an orthopaedician and plan for an MRI scan to rule out ligament or tendon injury. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Take care Regards, Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
